Are you passionate about preserving the world’s forests and ecosystems, fighting climate change and building resilient communities?
RAIN (Regenerative Agroforestry Impact Network), a non-profit supporting community-led reforestation and ecosystem restoration projects in the UK and Brazil, are seeking a volunteer to assist them with grant writing and fundraising through foundations, trusts and other grant-making bodies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify appropriate sources of funding
- Prepare and write detailed, accurate and inspiring grant funding applications and bids
- Develop and coordinate a fundraising database to ensure an ongoing flow of proposals
- Create a calendar of grant deadlines and track submitted funding proposals
- Review and write up any grant/bid feedback for future applications
About You:
- Ideally you’ll have experience of grants and bid writing, however a willingness to learn and the ability to be creative and use initiative is more important.
- An interest and ability to write about environmental topics would be advantageous
- Open to working collaboratively with others in the team and also be comfortable working autonomously on tasks
- Comfortable with multitasking and managing deadlines
The volunteer role is remote and flexible, but they ask for a commitment of 4 or more hours a week for a minimum of 2 months, so that you’re able to follow through with applications.
To apply, please email your CV to Kate MacKenzie – admin@rainumbrella.org.
